Depart Reykjavík at 8:00 AM – We head west into a landscape where time stretches wide. Volcanic activity, mythic sagas, and glacial forces have shaped both land and lore.

Borgarnes – A Viking-age town on the edge of the fjord with strong historical roots and cinematic beauty featured in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Mt. Helgafell – A silent hike up this “Holy Mountain” believed to grant wishes. A place where geology meets quiet personal ritual

Ólafsvík – Lunch in a peaceful harbor town with sweeping glacier views

Djúpalónssandur Beach – A haunting black pebble shoreline with scattered shipwreck remnants and the roar of the North Atlantic (image above)

Lóndrangar & Mt. Stapafell – Volcanic rock formations once believed to house protectors of the land. These geological features rise near Snæfellsjökull, the glacier-volcano setting of Journey to the Center
of the Earth -
Snæfellsjökull Glacier – Often considered one of Earth’s great energetic centers. Visible for much of the afternoon and long revered for its mystique

Arnarstapi – A cliffside village rich in both Icelandic folklore and seismic history. We settle here for the night

Evening – Group dinner, storytelling, and optional Northern Lights viewing depending on conditions

Depart Arnarstapi at 9:00 AM – Today we follow Iceland’s elemental threads. Geothermal forces, glacial runoff, and cultural memory are all written into steam, rock, and flow.

Arnarstapi Harbor Walk – Begin with a mindful walk along lava-carved cliffs and sea arches

Búðir Black Church – An iconic structure surrounded by mossy lava fields. Simple, stark, and atmospheric (image above)

Scenic Coastline Drive – Spot seals along the shore and view the Snaefellsjökull glacier at a new angle

Settlers Museum – Explore Iceland’s human history through immersive storytelling and regional cuisine

Deildartunguhver – Europe’s most powerful hot spring. Nearly boiling water bursts from the Earth at over 180 liters per second

Hraunfossar & Barnafossar – Two waterfalls shaped by lava and glacier melt. One wide and graceful, the other narrow and fast steeped in legend

Fosshotel Reykholt – Check in and soak in geothermal baths under the open sky in a village once home to Iceland’s most famous historian

Depart Reykholt at 9:00 AM – Our final day brings us to the heart of Iceland’s tectonic and cultural legacy.
